Ashley Roofing first caught my eye because of their many positive online reviews. Several roofers had given estimates already but none really stood out until we started interacting with Sean Smith, the owner of Ashley Roofing. We were immediately impressed with his professionalism, expertise and the quality product that we would be receiving for such a competitive estimate (architectural shingles by Owens Corning with a 50 year warranty).
Additionally, our home is a cape cod with some ventilation issues and a roof that had been so poorly installed before we bought the house that it needed to be replaced after less than ten (10) years! Sean talked us through options that we were considering which helped us to move forward with confidence that his crew could do the job right. True to schedule, Ashley Roofing showed up on time and immediately went to work! The crew consisted of (6) men and Sean was on-site in the morning and late afternoon as the job was nearing completion.
To see this crew work was amazing! On one of the hottest days in August, they never stopped moving except for a brief lunch break. And, beyond being hard-workers, they were so well choreographed and efficient that they drew a crowd! Some of our neighbors actually watched them from afar and later asked for their contact information!
When we first met with Sean he told us that the job would be done in a day. For some contractors that may mean that they’ll do as much as they can in a day but no more than that. But with Ashley Roofing, when they say “one day,” what they mean is “we’ll work all day to get the job done no matter how long it takes.” For our roof that meant they started work at 8am and worked straight through until, at least, 7pm and when they were done with the roof they helped to put everything back where it was. Deck furniture, potted plants, gazebo, kids toys, etc., it was all put back before they were willing to call the job “done.”
We are so thankful to Ashley Roofing for our beautiful new roof! We hope that their business continues to thrive for many years to come!
